CATTLE Market remain on course for the double following a 2-1 victory over Farnworth United in the quarter-final of the Division One Cup.
Matthew Carter and Lee Fitzsimmons fired their side through to the semi-final as they go in search of knockout glory to add to the Division One title, which they have already won with two games to play.
Farnworth got on the scoresheet courtesy of an own goal.
Darren Porter and Jordan Deane both scored twice as second-bottom Brindley Arms beat fourth-placed Queen Lizzy 6-4 to reach the last four of the Division Two Cup.
Lewis Porter and an own goal completed Brindley’s tally with Arron McCarthy grabbing a hat-trick and Kevin Stott getting the other for Lizzy.
In the league, Darcy Lever went goal crazy against the higher-placed Hulton Wanderers in Division One.
Danny Lever hit a hat-trick, Mitch Leece and Paul Lomax got two each and Ash Patel and Gaz Whiteside one in a 9-4 victory which saw Chris Hutchinson reply with two and Brad Colquitt and Pat Furrey one apiece for Hulton.
Greg Wood and Kieron Marsh scored in D Haviland’s 2-0 win against Mosesgate.
In Division Two, runners-up Deane sealed promotion in style with a 7-0 victory at mid-table Great Lever Wanderers.
