THREE men have been arrested in connection with vandalism in part of York.

Police were called to Ridgeway in Acomb at about 5.20pm on Sunday following reports of men causing damage to a camper van parked in the street.

A spokesman said a short foot chase took place before three men were arrested.

A 26-year-old man from York and a 24-year-old man of no fixed address were arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage.

A 23-year-old man from Leeds was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and using threatening words and behaviour. All three were released on bail until next month.
