FOUR sheep trapped in water in East Yorkshire have been rescued by firefighters.

Humberside Fire & Rescue Service said the animals had been re-united with the remainder of a small flock on the canal bank at Rawcliffe Bridge, near Goole.

Two other dead sheep were removed from the water by firefighters.
