A YORK woman will learn next month whether she will be jailed for benefit fraud spanning ten years.
Jacqueline Robinson, 67, admitted not telling the benefit authorities on eight different occasions that she was living with her husband, John, in the same house.
She was given income support, housing benefit, council tax benefit and pension credit she was not entitled to, on the basis that she lived on her own.
Robinson, of Tostig Avenue, Acomb, pleaded guilty to eight offences of benefit fraud committed in 2002, 2003, 2006, 2007 and 2012.
Her case was adjourned while probation officers prepare a pre-sentence report on her.
York Crown Court heard she had lived in York since 2002 and before then had lived in Army accommodation overseas with her husband.
She was released on bail and warned that when she is sentenced on March 27, she could be jailed.
