A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of voyeurism at a York swimming pool.
Police have launched an investigation centred on Waterworld at Monks Cross.
The alleged voyeurism took place during a swimming class for mums and babies, run by an outside organisation that lets the pool for the class, The Press has been told.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said today that a 22-year-old man from Leeds was arrested on suspicion of voyeurism on January 26, and has been released on bail to allow further police enquiries.
A spokeswoman for GLL, which runs Waterworld on behalf of City of York Council, said: "GLL can confirm that an arrest of a member of the public was made on the premises of York Waterworld on January 26. The individual involved was not a leisure centre employee but was with an external club using the leisure centre facilities at the time."
