A STUDENT from the University of York has been found dead in his room.
The 19-year-old man was found in his accommodation at 9.15pm on Wednesday and pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “The man’s next of kin have been informed, however formal identification has not yet taken place.
“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and no-one else is being sought in connection with the incident.”
The spokesman said a file was being prepared for the coroner, but no further details would be released until formal identification had taken place.
