Runners urged to help boost charity

RUNNERS of all abilities are being urged to help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support during the York 10k run on August 5.

The charity is looking for people to join its green team for the event.

Sally Millington, the charity’s York fundraising manager, said: “These 10k runs are such good fun and a perfect way to keep fit for the summer months.

“Of course, it’s also the Olympic year, which can be a real inspiration, so this could be your own personal Olympic challenge.”
