Sixteen members of staff at a York firm have signed up for this year’s York 10K Corporate Challenge in aid of the city’s St Leonard’s Hospice.
The Cellhire team will be competing against other local companies for the honour of being the fastest team home in the Corporate Challenge, a race within the main event, which takes place on Sunday, August 4, through the streets of York.
St Leonard’s has a number of guaranteed individual places for the main event available. They cost £26 and come with a package of support from the hospice including a running vest or t-shirt and sponsorship forms.
Sarah Atkinson, community fundraiser at St Leonard’s, said: “We are very grateful to our long-time supporters Cellhire for pitting themselves against other local firms in the Corporate Challenge. We wish them good luck in the battle.
“As well as having guaranteed places for individual runners available, we would like to encourage anyone who already has a place, but has yet to choose a charity, to get in touch with us. We can offer them lots of support in return for all their efforts – and a big cheer as they finish!’
