THEY say the stakes are high in business and the relaunched York 10k Corporate Challenge will be no exception.

Morrison Utility Services – a loyal supporter since the inaugural 10k event in 2009 – has once again pledged its support for the Corporate Challenge.

On Sunday, August 4, hundreds of people from businesses across Yorkshire will take part, running through York, receiving corporate hospitality on the day and having the chance to contribute to some of the region’s charities.

A presentation evening will also be hosted by the Run For All team and Morrison Utility Services, celebrating the achievements of corporate runners.

Norrie Forbes, of Morrison Utility Services, encouraged firms to sign up and support the event.

“We are absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to renew our support for the York 10k Corporate Challenge once again this year. The event continues to grow as more and more businesses become involved, which is excellent news for the many incredible causes at both local and national level who benefit from the funds raised.”

Run For All’s event director, Sara Birkinshaw, said: “We are delighted that Morrison Utility Services have agreed to be our official corporate sponsors for another year. They really do provide invaluable support to the Corporate Challenge, and without them, the event would not be the success that it is today.

“The York 10k is an extremely popular event and so I’m urging companies to dig out their running shoes, grab a team of your colleagues and show your business competitors how it’s done. The Morrison Utility Services Corporate Challenge is a team-building event like no other and shows camaraderie at its best.”

The challenge is open to teams of ten or more.

Smaller businesses can opt to purchase a package for a team of five.
