CCTV image of the man police want to speak to
POLICE are investigating reports that a man ‘touched himself in an inappropriate manner’ at several locations in York city centre.
The incidents happened in the Micklegate, Whip ma Whop Ma Gate and Bar Lane areas between 8am and 8.30am on Wednesday January 22, said North Yorkshire Police.
Any witnesses, or anyone recognising the man from this CCTV image, should contact police on 101.
PC Cheryl Hunter of York Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “This is a very worrying incident which upset the people who witnessed it. It is important that we identify the man as soon as possible so we can speak to him about the matter.”
