A 4X4 has been taken in a "2 in 1" burglary in a rural village north west of Easingwold.

The Range Rover was stolen from Pilmoor between 7.30pm and midnight on Friday.

Thieves broke into a semi-detached house and took the key to the blue Range Rover HSE TD6 before making off in the vehicle.

They also stole various electrical goods, including a TV, a laptop and a mobile phone.

Police are trying to find the stolen vehicle and identify the suspects. They have asked nearby residents and people across the region to come forward with any information that could help.

In particular, they want to know about sightings of the stolen blue Range Rover or possible suspicious vehicles or individuals spotted in the area.

If you can help the investigation please contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 and ask for Northallerton CID, email CIDNorthallerton@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 12140009153.
