Pedestrian taken to York Hospital after road accident
A YORK street was closed for more than an hour at the weekend after a pedestrian was injured in a road accident.
The woman suffered a severe cut to her head and a leg injury in the collision with a car in Melbourne Street shortly before 6pm on Saturday. She was taken by ambulance to York Hospital.
Her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, North Yorkshire Police said. The street remained closed until after 7pm.
