Emergency workers at the scene of the crash on the A169 Pickering to Malton Road
A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a New Year’s Day crash on a Ryedale road.
The collision, involving a Volvo and a Daihatsu, happened on the A169 between Malton and Pickering, close to the junction with Howe Road, at about 9.10am, with police, fire crews and paramedics called to the scene.
A man and a woman, who were in separate cars, were treated at the scene and the woman was taken to hospital, but her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The road was cleared shortly afterwards.
