A TWELVE-YEAR-OLD boy from York has appeared in court charged with offences including robbery, harrassment, intimidation of witnesses and assault.
The boy had been in custody after breaching the conditions of his bail regarding an earlier charge, and appeared for a bail hearing at a youth court sitting yesterday.
He has denied robbery, harrassment, intimidation of witnesses and four charges of assault, but admitted not keeping to his bail conditions.
After hearing from the boy’s solicitor and youth offending workers, a bench of three magistrates agreed that the boy should be released from custody and given bail again, with an electronically monitored curfew, until his next court date, which will be on January 14.
