PEOPLE are being asked to make 2014 the year that they start saving lives by giving blood.
NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is hoping people will pledge to become regular blood donors for their New Year resolution.
In the York area blood can be donated at the locations in sessions between 2pm and 4pm and 5pm and 7pm at Burnby Hall in Pocklington on January 2, York Racecourse on January 6, Best Western Monk Bar Hotel, Monk Bar on January 8 and 28, York Sports Club in Rawcliffe on January 15 and 29, the National Centre for Early Music in Walmgate on January 17, Wigginton Recreation Centre on January 24, Malton Community Sports Centre on January 27.
