THE family of a missing North Yorkshire man have entered the New Year still waiting to find out what has happened to him.

Simon Hodgson-Greaves, 48, of Riccall, has not been seen since December 15 and North Yorkshire Police have issued a fresh appeal for information 11 days after his camper van was found in the RSPB car park at Bempton Cliffs, near Bridlington.

Searches of the area have found no trace of Mr Hodgson-Greaves, a keen camper. He is white, about 6ft tall, slim with sandy hair, a greying beard and moustache and blue eyes.

He wears glasses and is known to dress smartly, often wearing tweed jackets, shirts and scarves.

“Simon has been missing for a fairly long period of time now, and his family have spent the festive period not knowing where he is or if he is okay,” said Detective Inspector Shaun Page.

Anybody who has seen Mr Hodgson-Greaves or knows where he is should phone the North Yorkshire Police control room on 101 or the Missing People charity’s line on 116000.
