PLANS for 56 new houses on the site of a former Acomb primary school have been given the go-ahead by City of York Council.
The scheme for the old Our Lady’s RC Primary School site on Hob Moor will now go ahead if it is approved by a government office.
The council’s planning committee voted to approve the plans for 56 new homes, including 41 affordable, subject to a final agreement with the developers Yorkshire Housing and the Secretary of State’s decision on whether to call in the application for an inquiry.
