VANDALS tipped a car on to its side in York.
The incident happened in Cromer Street in Clifton on Friday night or Saturday morning.
A spokeswman for North Yorkshire Police said there was no suggestion there had been a collision and it appeared to have been tipped deliberately.
The owner was traced and was due to arrange recovery of the car and police are investigating.
The spokeswoman said: “This was a very dangerous thing to do. The car could have fallen on someone passing or seriously injured whoever decided to tip the car over. It has also caused a great deal of inconvenience and expense to the owner of the vehicle.”
She asked anyone with information to phone police on 101, quoting reference NYP-21122013-0198.
