THESE panto stars helped a supermarket chain unveil its new York store, which has created 22 jobs.
The opening of the Sainsbury’s Local store at Queen’s House, at the foot of Micklegate, was marked by an appearance from ex-Emmerdale actress Adele Silva, Hollyoaks’ Marcus Patrick and Any Dream Will Do star Rob McVeigh, who are all appearing in Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs at the Grand Opera House.
The store’s charity partner, the Wilberforce Trust, was presented with a £1,000 cheque and pupils from Heworth CE Primary School, to which £500 of books and food is being donated, were also invited to the opening ceremony.
York Central MP Hugh Bayley was visiting the store today to meet staff.
