THE stars of a York pantomime have given festive fun-seekers a sneak preview as they prepare to unveil their Christmas production.

Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs begins its run at the Grand Opera House on Friday, December 13, with ex-Emmerdale star Adele Silva taking the role of the Wicked Queen alongside Hollyoaks’ Marcus Patrick (the Huntsman) and Any Dream Will Do’s Rob McVeigh as the Prince.

Created by New Pantomime Productions, performances will run until January 5 and include matinee and evening shows but also morning performances, while a “relaxed” show at 1.30pm on December 17 is designed for groups such as people with learning disabilities or an autistic spectrum condition, allowing the audience to move as they please and make noise.

Snow White will be played by Hairspray star Lauren Hood and panto regular Aiden J Harvey returns to York as Muddles alongside the show’s dame, Phil Randall.

Grand Opera House spokeswoman Celestine Dubruel said: “Ticket sales are going really well and are already up on last year.”
