ANTIQUES worth about £8,000 have been stolen from a house in Ryedale.
The thieves took a Joseph Bates long case clock, an oak bureau and phone table, silver salt and pepper sets - one featuring an elephant design - and two six-piece sets of silver cutlery from the house in Grange Avenue, Staxton.
They also took a silver plate rose bowl, a silver teapot and a silver tray. The crime was reported to police on Sunday.
