A LOCAL MP met England manager Roy Hodgson last week to celebrate 150 years of the Football Association.
Attending an event in Parliament for the landmark occasion Nigel Adams, MP for Selby and Ainsty, also got his hands on the FA Cup.
Having played in the York League when he was younger, Mr Adams was delighted to meet Mr Hodgson and former England legend Sir Trevor Brooking, and said football played a huge part in the lives of many local people.
