A WALKER from York has been rescued from a fell in the Lake District after slipping and injuring her leg.
The 51-year-old woman is understood to have been on Burnbank Fell, a 475-metre hill overlooking Loweswater, when she injured herself on Monday.
Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team was called out and 24 volunteer members went to her aid.
She was stretchered to a waiting ambulance after being treated at the scene by team members.
