THE Yorkshire Air Ambulance has been called to the scene of a motorcycle crash in North Yorkshire, which has left a motorcyclist injured.
The crash, between a silver Triumph Sprint bike and a red Citroen Saxo, happened at about 12.20pm, in Bishopdyke Road, between Cawood and Sherburn-in-Elmet.
A spokeswoman for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance were sent to the scene, and the air ambulance had also been called.
She said the motorcyclist had not yet been taken to hospital, but was believed to have suffered head and shoulder injuries.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said the road has been reopened following the accident, and the male rider has been taken to Leeds General Infirmary.
