Copmanthorpe Primary School has a new spacious classroom through the conversion of a kitchen area.
Year 5 pupils celebrated the opening by performing a special drama for parents.
The classroom was officially opened by Margaret Francis, recently senior primary adviser for the City of York Council. The opening was heralded with a fanfare played by Year 6 pupil Rachel Souch.
Parents then viewed the new classroom and enjoyed tea and cakes provided by the school’s friends group.
