Chainsaw carver Mark Bell and his model, Connie the harris hawk, get ready for the Countryside Live event at Harrogate later this month when Mark will be creating his impressive wooden birds of prey.
The annual rural extravaganza takes place over the weekend of October 19 and 20.
Tree surgeon Mark said: “I have been using a chainsaw since 1983 but started carving about ten years ago. I have made a wide range of carvings – from a 10ft 6ins tall bear and dragon’s head, to smaller birds of prey.”
Tickets for the Countryside Live event at the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, can be bought up to Friday, October 11 and cost £8 for adults and £4 for children with a family ticket available.
