AN INPATIENT at a psychiatric hospital near York has been fined more than £300 for sexual assaults on two women.
Lee Paul Davis, 30, was given a £100 fine and ordered to pay £50 compensation to each of his victims as well as £85 in court costs and a £20 surcharge.
Davis, who is a patient at Stockton Hall at Stockton-on-the- Forest, appeared at York Magistrate’s Court. He admitted sexual touching of two women.
He had lunged at women who were at the hospital and grabbed their breasts on separate occasions in June this year.
Sentencing him, magistrate Angela Lewis said: “It is simply not acceptable that you treat women in this way.”
In defence, Davis’s barrister said he had admitted his guilt, co-operated with the police and felt remorse over his actions.
Davis was already in breach of a conditional discharge handed down for common assault and sexual assault in March, and was sentenced for both those offences as well, Mrs Lewis said.
