HUNDREDS of fans braved pouring rain for hours to catch a glimpse of heart-throb Peter Andre when he appeared in York.
Andre was in the city for the launch of his new fragrance, Forever Young, and some fans of the ITV documentary star had queued outside The Perfume Store in Coney Street for more than four hours to see him.
Samantha Graham, 26, from Dringhouses, said she had seen the singer when he performed at York Barbican in 1997, and added: “I’ve been in the queue since 2pm. I set today aside for this, I’m so excited.”
Diane Hunt, from Clifton Moor, was in the queue for four hours for her 15-year-old daughter Chloe, and said: “I’m not as excited as Chloe is, but we went to see him in Scarborough in November. Chloe wants to thank him for all he’s done for his fans.”
