Plans to bring brewery to York
BEER enthusiasts in York are being given the chance to invest in a new craft brewery as plans are announced to move the venture to the city.
The owner of Little Brew, which was established in Camden last year, is looking to raise money for the business as it prepares to relocate from London to York.
Stuart Small has turned to crowd funding to raise capital and is inviting potential investors to pledge their stakes via the Crowdcube website.
Investors can put in as little as £100 to receive a share in the business, while larger investments will be rewarded with the opportunity to design and name a beer. Qualifying for SEIS and EIS tax relief, Little Brew is a “lucrative opportunity” for investment return, claims Mr Small.
He said: “Brewing is my passion. It has been amazing getting the business off the ground in London but I'm really excited to bring our range of finely crafted artisan ales to one of the best cities in the country.
“Sustainability is at the heart of Little Brew. For me, this means using local suppliers and British ingredients whilst creating jobs and being a positive part of the community.”
More from Mr Small and his plans to bring Little Brew to York to follow.
