RYEDALE schoolgirl Poppy German is celebrating a full house after her GCSE results came back with top marks in all her subjects.
Poppy, who is from Helmsley and goes to Ryedale School, swept the board achieving A*s in all nine of her exam subjects.
She was one of a group of students from the school who impressed with their outstanding results – her classmates Augusta Fullerton-Smith and Xanthe Davison got four A*s, five As and five A*s, three As and one B respectively.
The girls, who each plan to study for Alevels at different schools in North Yorkshire, all said they were thrilled with their results.
Poppy said: “We were nervous this morning, but our results are better than we could have hoped.”
Head teacher Richard Crane was overseeing his last results day at Ryedale, and said the school was “tremendoulsy proud” of its pupils’ results.
