A YORK pub is to reopen this week following a £230,000 joint investment which has created eight new jobs.
The Rose and Crown, in Lawrence Street, will reopen on Friday evening following the cash injection from leaseholders Geoff and Paula McGarry and pub chain Punch Taverns to create a complete transformation of the interior of the grade-two listed Tetley heritage site.
Mr McGarry said: “The pub will look fantastic and the investment will allow us to transform and strengthen both the food offer, and introduce a great range of drinks.”
Punch Taverns’ senior partnership development manager Dave Rowland said: “We want to reposition the Rose and Crown as one of the leading pubs for residents and tourists in York.”
