Hotel gets go-ahead for double-glazing work
9:56am Thursday 15th August 2013 in News
THE owners of York’s only five-star hotel have secured permission to fit double-glazing to more of its rooms after complaints from guests about noise.
The additional panes will be installed in every room of the £25 million Cedar Court Grand Hotel and Spa on Station Rise, with the work being carried out in phases over three years.
Bosses at the 107-bedroom luxury hotel had said the work was necessary to prevent criticism from guests and inspectors and to reduce energy consumption.
