ADMINISTRATORS of independent fashion retailer Coggles have accepted an offer to buy the company.
Andy Clay and David Acland of Begbies Traynor, who were appointed joint administrators on May 7, confirmed they had accepted an offer from an undisclosed party.
Due diligence is now underway on the deal and is expected to take about a week to complete, they said.
The administrators could not confirm any further details of the deal at this stage, including whether or not it would continue to trade.
About 30 of Coggles' 60 staff were made redundant, including 20 in York, after administrators were appointed following failed investment talks.
Mark Bage, chief executive and creative director, said the business had been trying to secure £4 million investment, but had been affected by poor performance before Christmas.
