AN elderly woman died from an overdose of painkillers, an inquest has heard.
Beryl Snowden, 74, was found to have died in her home in Thirsk House in Backhouse Street, York, on November 12.
Mrs Snowden, who had osteoarthritis and chronic depression, was found to have died from an overdose of dihydrocodeine, York Coroner’s Court was told.
Recording an open verdct, deputy coroner for York, Jonathan Leech, said he could not know whether it had been her intention to take a fatal overdose.
