YOUNG readers can help celebrate the forthcoming arrival of a new royal baby, and fantastic prizes, by designing a card for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Children up to the age of 12 can submit their design for a “Congratulations on your new baby” card for William and Kate, in one of three age groups.

The only design brief is that the card must be fit for a future king or queen.

All designs will be considered by a panel of judges, and the best entries from the region will appear in The Press, before being put to a public vote.

The winner from each age group will win some super prizes, plus a pack of their card design, one of which will be sent to William and Kate from The Press.

Last year, The Press ran a competition for children to design a card to help celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, and hundreds of entries were received.

The latest competition will have three age groups; four to six years, seven to nine years and 10-12 years.

If you would like to enter, draw a colourful design on A4 paper, make sure you’ve filled in the coupon and send both to: New Baby Card Competition, The Press Promotions, 76-86 Walmgate, York, YO1 9YN.

Please do not write your contact details on, or attach your entry form to, your portrait.

Entries can also be handed in at The Press’s head office at 76-86 Walmgate, York, and all entries must be received by 5pm on Wednesday, June 5. Sorry, but we cannot return any of your designs.

• Terms & Conditions: A fully completed entry coupon is required for every design entered.

Entry forms can be photocopied. The full name of each entrant must be given.

Designs cannot include any 3D elements. Designs can be portrait or landscape in format.
