CONCERNS are mounting for a missing 14-year-old who has not been since the weekend.

Ewan Corbett was last seen by his carers in the village of Fellbeck, between Ripon and Pateley Bridge, during the early evening of Sunday when he is understood to have left the house and travelled to Harrogate.

Officers are worried for Ewan’s welfare and are urging people to keep an eye out and report any sightings of him, a spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said.

Insp Andy Chapman, of North Yorkshire Police, said: “We are increasingly concerned for Ewan‘s safety and wish to trace him urgently.

“We believe that he may be seeking accommodation either within Harrogate or somewhere outside of the district and that he does not have the means to fend for himself, particularly in view of current adverse weather conditions.

“We are currently trying to establish how Ewan got to Harrogate on Sunday, what his intentions are and who he is with.

“Ewan has friends and contacts throughout North Yorkshire, particularly in Harrogate, Scarborough and Northallerton, as well as outside of the county, but so far inquiries with people he may have contacted have been unsuccessful.”

Ewan is described as white, around 5ft 7in tall, with a slim build, brown shaven hair and blue eyes. When he was last seen he was wearing a dark-coloured hooded-top and black tracksuit bottoms.

Anyone with information that can help the search for Ewan Corbett is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101.
