WONKY the bandy-legged pup - whose plight plucked the heartstrings of the nation – is now starting life with her new owners in a puppy paradise.

When the now three-month old Staffy cross was first found by a member of the public in Bradford, her little body was ravaged by a horrific condition that meant she walked on her wrists.

She was taken in by Leeds Dogs Trust where dedicated staff gave her a steady diet and physiotherapy 30 times a day for a week – manually straightening her legs to help strengthen the muscles.
