A WHEELCHAIR athlete who has represented Great Britain in triathlons for four years will give a free public lecture on Thursday.

Since then, he has hand-cycled from Lands End to John O'Groats, completed the London Marathon and won medals at World, European and national level. The University of York St John awarded him an honorary degree, doctor of health sciences, in 2011.
