Julian Cundiff meets rock music heroes

A LEGAL adviser has met some of the biggest fish in the rock music industry thanks to his love of angling.

York court clerk Julian Cundiff chatted with legendary lead guitarist Slash at Nottingham Arena shortly before his latest gig there.

The legal adviser to Selby and York magistrates got the rare opportunity to meet the musician because he and music PR man Duff Battye are both keen anglers.

“I take him carp fishing to prestigious venues, take him to meet the celebrities of the carp world, and he takes me to meet the greats of the rock world. KISS, Guns N Roses, Def Leppard, Europe, Bon Jovi and so on,” said Mr Cundiff.

“It’s an incredible experience to meet and hang out with them.

“I even got to stand on stage with Thin Lizzy, have dinner with The Answer and so on. They say you should never give up on your dreams and I have been living that dream.”
