POLICE officers working in the west of York have met residents following recent burglaries.
On Sunday, York West officers met residents in Russell Street, Scott Street and Nunmill Street, off Scarcroft Road, to advise them about crime reduction.
Burglaries reported in York on Saturday and Sunday included an incident in Gladstone Street overnight on Saturday when a Nintendo Wii, ipad, and games were stolen and a sneak-in burglary through an open door in Barkston Grove between 4pm and 6pm on Saturday, when another ipad was stolen.
Nothing was stolen when a break-in happened through a ground floor window in Holly Bank Road between 4pm and 9.05pm on Sunday.
