MPs and crime commissioner to hold Q&A
10:03am Wednesday 6th March 2013 in News
YORK residents will have the chance to put their views on local crime directly to their MPs and the recently elected police and crime commissioner.
York Central MP Hugh Bayley, York Outer MP Julian Sturdy and North Yorkshire’s police and crime commissioner, Julia Mulligan, will be at a public meeting at the Guildhall at 2pm on Friday.
There will be a short presentation from Mrs Mulligan on the draft police and crime plan, followed by an hour of questions from the public.
Mr Bayley and Mr Sturdy will give their own perspectives on the plan, as well as fielding any questions relating to their constituencies and concerns on crime and justice more generally.
Mrs Mulligan, who was elected last November, has released the draft plan for 2013 to 2017. It has pledged to do more to tackle serial offenders.
