TWO city-centre roads in York will be closed during the day over the next three weekends as repair and resurfacing work is carried out.

The scheme, on Micklegate and George Hudson Street, will start on Saturday and will take place between 8am and 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays, during which times traffic will be unable to use the roads.

A diversion route will be put in place and anybody needing to drive into the streets from neighbouring homes will have to let traffic management teams know, although pedestrian access will not be affected.

Micklegate and George Hudson Street will be open outside the working hours.
