A CARING charity has helped Runcorn children cope with the loss of their loved ones.

Pupils at Westfield Primary School in Clayton Crescent presented Chrysalis with £240 to thank them for all their support.

They donated money instead of sending Christmas cards.

Head teacher Claire Dawes said: “This charity has been tremendously helpful to a lot of our children and families.

“They are lovely, calming people. I can’t speak highly enough about them.

“They also train staff to do nurturing work with children.”

Chrysalis offers support, advice and information to children and young people living in Halton when they are affected by loss.

The bereavement service is part of the Catholic Children’s Society and provides confidential counselling and and therapy to any families.
