Having a ball for York Hospital’s STAR appeal
GLAMOUR and glitz are the theme of the next annual fundraising ball in aid of York Hospital’s STAR appeal.
Tickets are now on sale for the event, which will take place in The National Railway Museum (NRM) and will feature live music, auctions and a three course dinner.
Lucy Lowthian, fundraising manager at York Hospital said: “It’s going to be a great night. We have Mojo’s, who are a great North Yorkshire band, and we have a raffle, auction and casino. The theme of the ball this year is ‘sparkle’ so we are hoping the ladies will glam up in lots of jewellery and glitter.”
Funds raised from the event on June 15 will go towards a major refurbishment of the Stroke Rehabilitation Unit, and the hospital is now looking to find sponsors and partners for the ball.
Tickets are £55 per person or £500 for a table of 10. Details from Lucy Lowthian on (01904) 721737 or lucy.lowthian@york.nhs.uk
