9:52am Tuesday 19th February 2013 in News
A CYCLIST suffered a broken wrist in a crash in York.
The accident happened at about 7.15pm on Saturday, February 2, as the 20-year-old cyclist approached traffic lights at the junction of Tang Hall Lane.
A police spokesman said an old, dark car pulled out in front of him, causing him to brake sharply, and to be thrown over the handlebars.
The cyclist was taken to York Hospital for surgery to his wrist. The motorist did not stop following the incident, and continued down Tang Hall Lane.
The police are asking anyone who witnessed the accident to phone 101, email hannah.dearden@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk or phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
