POLICE in North Yorkshire have urged the public to help them find John Mark Christiansen, who is wanted in connection with charges of theft.

Christiansen, 35, of Robert Street, is wanted in connection with the theft of seven bottles of aftershave from Boots, in Cambridge Street, Harrogate, on January 14.

A warrant for his arrest was issued by Harrogate Magistrates’ Court after he failed to attend on January 31 to answer further theft charges.

Christiansen was arrested on January 12, and charged with stealing eight bottles of aftershave from the same Boots store, and was also due to answer another charge of stealing four cans of cider from a petrol station on Ripon Road.

He is described as white, around 6ft 1in tall, with a slim build, brown hair and blue eyes, and officers have urged anyone who knows where he is to contact them.

PC Tom Barker, of Harrogate police, said: “Jon Christiansen is avoiding facing up to his offences and I am urging the public to help us find him and ensure that justice can be done.”

Anyone with information should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
