A64 crash causes traffic queues

QUEUES of traffic formed on a stretch of the A64 near York this morning after an accident.
The crash, involving one car, led to part of the route at Claxton, near the Highwayman cafe, being blocked in both directions between the junctions with Whinny Lane and Barr Lane at about 11.30am.
Emergency services were called to the scene but nobody was injured and the road has now been cleared.
