Flood levels fall in York

FLOODING from the River Ouse in York is slowly easing, helped by expected dry weather over the weekend.

The Environment Agency said yesterday that the river was about 3.5 metres above normal summer levels, causing flooding in riverside areas, but would continue to fall slowly.
