A CYCLIST was injured when he was in collision with a lorry in the Selby area last night.
The 38-year-old man was taken to hospital with suspected serious injuries following the crash, which happened on the A645 between Drax and the A614, at about 5.50pm.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said the cyclist, from Goole, remains in York Hospital today, and appealed for anyone who saw the collision or saw a white Mercedes lorry or the cyclist on the road prior to the incident, to get in touch.
Traffic Constable Ken England, of Tadcaster Roads Policing Group, said: “The A645 will have been fairly busy at the time of the collision, therefore I believe that there are witnesses who have not yet come forward. If you have any information that can help the investigation, please contact the police as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, email kenneth.england@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk or phone Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
