A 34-YEAR-OLD woman who died after being hit by a car as she crossed the road has been named by police.
Tanya Bailey, of Wellington Road in Bridlington, died in the collision on the A614 Londesborough Road, Market Weighton, at 8.30pm on Thursday.
A Vauxhall Agila car driven by a 65-year-old local woman collided with her as she tried to cross the road.
The driver of the Vauxhall Agila was uninjured. Police investigating the collision are appealing for witnesses and would like to speak to anyone with any information.
